Cookies Policy
This policy describes which cookies are used on the Kshevchenko website (kshevchenko.art) and for what purpose. This document complements the Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files saved by the browser on the User's device while using websites. They allow preferences to be remembered (e.g. language, colour theme) and protect the contact form from abuse.
2. Which Cookies We Use
The website is a personal portfolio and does not use cookies for marketing or third-party analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). Only cookies strictly necessary for site operation and remembering visitor preferences are used.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
XSRF-TOKEN |
protecting the contact form against CSRF attacks | session, necessary | until end of session |
appearance |
remembering the light/dark theme preference | functional | 1 year |
user_language |
remembering the selected language | functional | 1 year |
kshevchenko_cookie_consent |
remembering the choice made in the cookie banner (stored in localStorage, not in a cookie) | preference | until browser data is cleared |
All of the above are first-party cookies originating from the website's domain. The website does not use third-party cookies.
3. Legal Basis
- Necessary cookies are used pursuant to Art. 173(3)(2) of the Polish Telecommunications Law — they are technically required to deliver the requested service (e.g. submitting the contact form) and do not require separate consent.
- Functional cookies that remember display preferences (theme, language) are installed only after consent is given via the cookie banner.
4. Managing Consent
On the first visit, a cookie banner is displayed allowing the User to accept or reject functional cookies. The choice is stored in the browser's localStorage (not in a cookie). To change the choice, simply clear the website's data in the browser settings — the banner will appear again.
5. Managing Cookies in the Browser
Every browser allows cookies to be deleted, blocked, or selectively allowed. Detailed instructions for the most popular browsers:
Disabling necessary cookies may prevent the contact form from being submitted.
6. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated periodically — the latest version is always available at /polityka-cookies.
